I was born in Oklahoma and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma.  I married young, moved to California  where I began painting Christmas windows.  In 1963 I moved to Dallas, Texas and continued to paint windows for car showrooms and furniture stores.  I painted my first mural in 1966 in a residential dining room.  It was of  roses and urns.  I later moved to St Louis, Missouri.   It was there that I was influenced by a neighbor.  She was a college art teacher.  I began painting murals professionally.  In 1970 I moved to California.  I painted a restaurant in Folsom, CA and the media exposed my work in an article.  It began a thirteen year career of murals painted in many prominent homes.

In 1980 I was trained in the Air Force as a Graphic Illustration Artist.  In 1983 I moved back to Oklahoma and began working with Curtis Restaurant Design Department painting restaurants in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. 

In 1990 I traveled to Honduras on a mission trip as a chalk talk artist.  I went there again in 1991 where the Mexican motif began to influence my art work.  Since then I have painted four Eduardo's Mexican restaurants, one for Cocino De Mino, two for Las Fajitas and Poquita de Mexico. 

Some of the outdoor murals I have painted are Chisholm Trail Mural in Yukon, Oklahoma which is 15' by 50'.   Interurban Mural in Yukon which is 20' by 40', and  The Backdoor Steak House in Blair, Oklahoma which is 15' by 50'.

I have painted numerous murals in homes, two of which were decorator show homes. The residential and business murals I have done during my career so far total over well over 500.  

Not only am I an artist, but I am also a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
